Simplifying Product Customization in 2025

Mission-critical product customization is complex. Merchandisers manage a matrix of program rules such as decoration methods, decoration location, fonts, and logo libraries, which are then applied across multiple product types and program stores. Even if he took a dozen “red pills,” Keanu Reaves would still struggle with this type of matrix.*

As the leading product customization software platform, Artifi is on a mission to continue simplifying the complex. The Artifi team is planning the product roadmap, which will focus on simplification and use AI as a key ingredient to bring more efficiencies in product customization.

Embed AI to Make Administration a Breeze

Artifi’s industry-leading platform already features an intelligent, responsive administration console designed to streamline setup and management. In 2025, AI-powered tools will be introduced to automate key processes, making the administration experience even faster and more efficient.

For instance, many businesses operate multiple storefronts and often have a product type that needs to be customized and made available across multiple program storefronts. Create one template, add program-specific rules, and have AI apply it across all program storefronts with a couple of AI prompts. This is the future.

Offer AI-Powered Onboarding Tools to Automate Back-End Tasks

Adopting a new platform always requires time to learn its features and workflows, but onboarding delays can slow down time to value. To help speed up the process, Artifi will be introducing AI-powered onboarding tools. These tools will simplify learning and setup processes by tailoring guidance to an administrator’s unique needs.

Most businesses don’t have the time to spend on manually setting up specific logo placement rules for two dozen individual SKUs, whether they offer school uniform programs, construction safety gear programs, or promotional products. Soon this will be a thing of the past. Just prompt AI to find the affected product SKUs in the database, provide the specific data points for the logo placement, and sit back as AI goes to work.

Integrate Enhanced Multilingual Support

As companies continue to expand globally, businesses increasingly serve buyers across multiple regions and languages. To help facilitate international commerce, Artifi will enhance its support for multiple languages within the platform to serve both administrators and shoppers.

While Artifi already offers support for several different languages, this feature set will be improved in 2025 to make it faster, cleaner, and more accurate. Businesses utilizing Artifi will be able to reach and engage buyers around the world as easily as they do the shoppers in their own geography.

Enable Headless Product Customization and Tech Stack Simplification

Many companies have invested in home-grown rendering engines for online product customization. While this may have been a necessity ten years ago, homegrown software often has a short shelf life as it becomes a cost center filled with tech debt and never-ending changes to requirements as business changes.

Artifi has removed the rendering engine from rendering by releasing headless widgets. Through APIs, these widgets can be embedded directly into the product detail page of an ecommerce platform. This allows for greater flexibility in user interface design without having to code or change the rendering engine. Less tech debt–more flexibility.

Simplify Customer Data Vendor Needs

Product data is one of the biggest challenges for manufacturers and distributors. From creating assets to standardizing customization locations and methods, product customization is complex.

In 2025, Artifi will help further simplify customer data vendor needs through value-added services such as product setup, 360-degree customization modeling, and embroidery digitization.

Keep It Simple

As always, Artifi will continue to focus on enhancing flexibility and scalability as the platform for mission-critical product customization. In 2025, Artifi is poised to redefine product customization by focusing on simplification and efficiency.

With advancements like AI-driven administration tools, onboarding automation, enhanced multilingual support, and headless customization widgets, the platform is addressing the most pressing challenges in the industry. These innovations aim to eliminate manual, time-consuming tasks and streamline complex workflows, empowering businesses to focus on growth and customer satisfaction.

The future of product customization is here, and Artifi is leading the charge–making the complex simple.
